Holiday season has arrived and those social calendars are filling up. The holidays bring, cheer, merriment, celebrations and lots of social gatherings. You know what else winter brings?! Cold and dry air. Let's face it, we all want to look and feel our best, but sometimes that cold air as well as holiday indulgences can wreak havoc on our skin. I want you all to really glow this time of year, so  I am going to share with you my 5 tips for getting your skin holiday party ready!

1. GET A FACIAL

The quickest and best way to glowing and clear skin is seeing your skin care professional.  A deep cleanse and skin resurfacing is a great way to get your skin holiday prepped. A light chemical peel or microdermabrasion would be perfect before any big event to remove the top dead layer of skin and allow ingredients to penetrate better.

2. HYDRATE FROM THE INSIDE OUT

As I said before, the drier the air, the drier the skin. Use hydrating products with water binding ingredients  such as hyaluronic acid, sodium pca or honey,  which are all humectants, that will help keep your skin supple and happy. Our skin can also become irritated, crepey and dull the more dehydrated it becomes.  Dehydration is also one of the majors causes of break outs. The lack of water make ours oil glands over compensate for the lack of moisture, which can mean a big huge zit- no thanks! So remember the hydrating serum and drink tons and tons of water. I don't think it's any secret that the more water you drink the better you will look and feel.

3. PUT THAT MASK ON

I am a huge fan of face masks. At home skincare is very important! Try Korean sheet masks. They are fun to do and are saturated with great ingredients. There are so many different masks to choose from for your skincare concern. Interested in trying out new sheet masks? Check out SF Mask Club, a service where you can try new face masks every month.

4. GET YOUR VITAMIN C ON

Using vitamin C products, specifically in a serum is an optimal way to give your skin the nutrition it needs. Vitamin C brightens, lightens and tightens the skin all while providing antioxidant  protection. Antioxidants keeps pollutants from breaking down the skin and keeping wrinkles at bay.

5. GET A NUFACE

This personal microcurrent device is like fitness for your face...literally! It gently helps to tighten the facial muscles giving you a nice lift and glow for up to 72 hours after one use, it's perfect for any event!
