Hailey Bieber's Glazed Donut Nails Are TikTok Famous (And Here's How You Can Get Them Too)

With the launch of her beauty brand, Rhode, Hailey Bieber has been all about the "glazed donut" look — which applies both to her glowing skin and the shimmering pale-white manicure she's been wearing constantly as of late.

The dewy, frosted look is so perfect for the sultry days of summer that it's spawned a viral trend on TikTok; a quick scroll through #haileybiebernails reveals countless DIY ways to get your own "glazed donut" manicure at home and at the salon. Even Vanessa Hudgens and Sydney Sweeney are fans of the look, which is neutral enough to be worn anywhere but glamorous enough for a special occasion.

Bieber's nail artist Zola has shared the exact products she uses to give Hailey the glazed glitter look; in a video for OPI, Zola revealed that she uses the brand's GelColor in Funny Bunny, a soft white, follows with a topcoat, and then applies Tin Man Can Chrome Effect to the nail for that frosted finish. (The chrome powder is only available in salons.)

If you don't want to visit a salon and don't want to apply gel polish at home, no worries. "While Hailey's look is traditionally achieved using gel and a chrome powder, you can absolutely get it using polish too," says nail artist Steph Stone. "First paint one coat of a milky sheer polish like Essie Sheer Fantasy. Then apply one coat of Essie's Expressie FX in Iced Out," Follow that up with one more layer of Sheer Fantasy, and finish it off with a glossy topcoat. "This will create a subtle pearlescent effect, achieving the glazed donut look."

For a similar effect, Celebrity Manicurist Sonya Belakhlef recommends layering two coats of Orly's Kiss Me I'm Kind, a milky pale pink, with one coat of Orly's Snow Worries, a pale shimmering pink. They also recommend Orly's Crystal Healing, a sheer white lilac shimmer that can be worn on its own or layered with your favorite pale shades for that glazed look.

Pale, shimmery shades can be difficult to apply even if you've been doing your own nails for years. They can be streaky and patchy, so to combat any potential issues, take your time when applying your chosen shades. "Take it slow and don't overwork the polish," Belakhlef advises. "Try and coat your nail with the least amount of strokes as possible." Stone concurs. "Sandwiching the pearl effect in between the sheer gives it the super subtle look while also masking any inconsistencies in the shimmer application," she says.

With a little patience and the right suite of products, you can channel your inner Hailey Bieber with a glazed donut mani of your own.
